AFL star Rory Sloane and wife Belinda to launch ‘lounge room tourism’ sessions including ‘virtual wine tours’

AFL superstar Rory Sloane and his wife Belinda Sloane are launching ‘lounge room tourism’ sessions. 

The couple are working with the South Australian Tourism Commission to create virtual experiences on the new SATV digital platform. 

The aim is to keep tourism companies in business during the coronavirus pandemic, which has made travel impossible.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, the couple revealed: ‘We will be highlighting businesses who are struggling during this time and give them hope for a brighter future by showcasing their offerings’.  

‘We’re positive that if people continue to support tourism and local businesses where possible, that the sector will survive and thrive,’ they added. 

The service will offer: ‘virtual wine bars, online music performances, locally sourced grocery boxes and plenty more’.

In September last year, the couple announced the birth of a healthy baby boy, just a year after their first child was tragically stillborn. 

Belinda, a TV presenter, posted adorable photos to Instagram and revealed the couple named the child Sonny Leo Sloane, in a touching tribute to Leo, the baby they lost in 2018.  

‘Welcome to the world,’ she wrote. 

The Adelaide Crows champion added: ‘Welcome to this world my little man.’

Sloane took to Instagram at the time to announce the tragedy.  

‘Last week we said goodbye to our beautiful little man. Leo Rory Sloane was born into the world still, but perfect,’ he said.
