The Sun reports that shareholders were forced to inject 1.7 million into Alexa’s firm Alpha Charlie Limited, with more money added in June this year.

The new figures are catalogued in public documents at Companies House. A source told the publication: ‘During the year, the directors prepared a three-year plan and the company’s shareholders invested a further £1.7million in the company.

They added that ‘further funding’ had been raised in June this year in a bid to ‘support working capital.’

The findings do not include the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, with accounts going up to March 2020, however, staff numbers were cut from 23 to 21.

The source went on: ‘This has had a significant impact on the business cashflow requirements which the investors have already supported with a fund raise in June.

‘The lasting impact of Covid-19 is not expected to have a material impact on the business post December 2020 but this is being monitored by the directors and they are aware that if the situation worsens then the current cash flow position may change.’

Items from Alexa’s current collection, as seen on her website, includes a pyjama set costing £250, a £290 maxi dress and boots priced at an eye-watering £450.
