Amber Turner apologies after failing to deliver pre-agreed posts in exchange for free jewellery

Amber Turner has issued a public apology after being accused of ‘making false promises’ in a row over failing to deliver pre-agreed social media posts in exchange for free jewellery.

The TOWIE star, 27, who boasts 803K followers on Instagram, asked Phantom Jewels if they would send her some rings ‘in exchange for promo’ – with director Amna Khan wasting no time in sending Amber the pieces she requested.

But after being sent three rings without paying a penny, according to the jeweller, Amber proceeded to ignore Amna’s messages which asked if she could promote the items on her popular page, as she previously agreed.

Sorry: Amber Turner has issued an apology after being accused of ‘making false promises’ in a row over failing to deliver pre-agreed social media posts in exchange for free jewellery

Amber unfollowed Amna, after the entrepreneur made sure the items were sent via next day delivery and in the styles and sizes the reality star had asked for.

Now Amber has said sorry to business owner Amna, who said the star didn’t keep to her side of the bargain, which was ‘detrimental and disappointing’ to her company.

Amber explained: ‘Just addressing the video regarding @phantomjewels. I received some items from them in October 2019, which I loved but sadly they did not fit me and I wasn’t able to wear them.

‘The brand messaged me 3 times in 7 days following up – which I did not see at the time and then obviously life takes over and I completely forgot about the rings. I didn’t hear anything else from the brand until now – one year later.’

She continued: ‘I have since contacted the owner again and apologised for what happened. It was a genuine oversight and I would do that to a brand no matter how big or small.

‘I have offered to pay for the products, they declined, I offered to do the promo, and they also declined that as well. They have told me they are happy that I have apologised.

‘Normally if I miss something, a brand would contact my management who then would remind me to sort it.

‘As you guys all know I’m very lucky that sometimes I get sent things for free. I do appreciate stuff being gifted and post as many stories as I can to share with you all.’

Speaking to MailOnline, Amna, 29, from London, said: ‘I’m not looking to paint a bad image of anyone.

‘It was just about bringing awareness about influencers and celebrities who reach out for products to small businesses on a goodwill basis but don’t follow up on their end of the bargain which is detrimental and disappointing for a small business.

‘It’s disappointing because a lot of effort was made to get the items she liked as she was the one who approached the business and not the other way around.

‘I didn’t want to pressurise her into doing the post or story straight away but after a month I decided to message her.

Speaking out: Amna expressed her 'disappointment' to MailOnline and said she wanted to highlight that not all influencers 'appreciate the costs of work involved for a small company'

‘I messaged her three times in October 2019 to which none of my messages were responded to and it was extremely embarrassing for me to continue to send messages so I had to leave it at that.

‘It is off putting to work with influencers who perhaps don’t appreciate the costs of work involved for a small company.’

Amna took to TikTok to express her upset over not receiving any gratitude from Amber in a video shared this week.

In a video, she said: ‘So one fine day I was excited to see that Amber Turner, a well known reality TV star had messaged me on my jewellery page, she asked: “Would you gift in exchange for promo? Obsessed with your rings.”

‘I was like “Yes, that sounds really lovely and are there any items that you would like in particular?” And I ask her to get her size measured and whether she knows what rings she wants to get.

‘So she sends me her selections, she goes for this one, that one, all of these, she asks for next day delivery and I say “Yes, they should be dispatched and with you by Saturday.”

‘It’s been a month since I sent the products and I don’t see any post about them. I followed up with her a month later, then I follow up a couple of days later and a few days after that and there was no response. I basically got blanked.

‘To me it is really funny and almost upsetting how eager celebrities are to take items from small businesses but when it comes to posting, they don’t know you. And on top of that, she unfollowed me!’

Their on-going feud has made it difficult for mutual pal Yazmin Oukhellou, who has felt stuck in the middle of their dispute.

In one recent row, Nicole branded Amber ‘vile, rude and b****y’ and said she has a ‘boring personality.’

Another fallout saw Nicole reference Dan’s previous flings with Chloe Sims and Clelia Theodorou, by shouting at Amber: ‘That’s why your boyfriend wants other girls!’
