Amy Childs reveals daughter Polly, 2, calls her grandfather Billy ‘dad’ as ex is in prison

Amy Childs has revealed her daughter Polly calls her grandfather ‘dad’ after the TV star’s jailbird ex, Bradley Wright, went back behind bars for arson and handling stolen goods last year.

The media personality, who previously insisted she won’t take her little girl to visit her biological parent in prison, admitted her two-year-old isn’t missing a father figure as Billy has filled the role.

In a new interview, the former TOWIE star, 29, also touched on her past addiction to cosmetic surgery, what she’s looking for in a potential partner, and shared her hopes of reviving the ‘vajazzle’ trend amid the coronavirus lockdown.

Amy and Bradley first embarked on a romance in 2013, but split split over a year later when the builder was originally sentenced to 18-months behind bars for handling stolen goods.  

That conviction followed previous prison terms, including 16-months for theft in 2013 and a spell at a young offenders institute for burglary, handling stolen goods and driving offences in 2010.

The couple reunited following his release, and subsequently welcomed daughter Polly, but split six weeks after her birth. 

On her own father Billy stepping in to look after her daughter, the former beauty technician told The Sun: ‘Because Polly’s dad is not around and has never ever been around, she looks at my dad. She absolutely idolises him and calls him dad.

‘Honestly, it makes my heart go because she loves him so much. People say to me, “Why do you let her call her grandad Dad. But in her life, he is her dad.”‘ 

The online influencer, who also shares son Rich, 18 months, with businessman ex Ritchie, revealed her dad even gets mistaken for her partner during family holidays.

Amy starred on this year’s edition of Celebs Go Dating in a bid to find love, but admitted she’s still single. 

On her perfect partner, the reality TV veteran insisted she’s now looking for someone like her father, after years of chasing men who ‘looked like David Beckham’.

Elsewhere in the interview, Amy discussed her past addiction to plastic surgery, which once left her in hospital after her breast implants flipped and ruptured.

She said: ‘It was an addiction, but I feel like I’ve conquered that now. I’ve got pictures from five, six or seven years ago and I look a different person.’

The mother-of-two rose to prominence for promoting the ‘vajazzle’ trend, in which tiny rhinestone crystals are applied artistically to your pelvic area.

The businesswoman revealed her plans to return to the salon and bring the treatment back to life in hopes to ‘cheer people up a bit’ amid the global COVID-19 crisis.
