Anna Kendrick makes friends with a sassy feminist sex doll in trailer for new Quibi series Dummy
Anna Kendrick makes an interesting friend in her new Quibi series Dummy.
In the series, the Pitch Perfect actress plays an aspiring writer who ends up befriending her boyfriend’s sex doll.
Dummy was created by writer/producer Dan Harmon’s longtime girlfriend Cody Heller and is inspired by her life with the Rick And Morty co-creator.

Heller will also serve as executive producer along with Kendrick and director Tricia Brock. Donal Logue and Meredith Hagner round out the cast.
In the first teaser for the series, Anna’s character wonders if she’s having a ‘nervous breakdown’ after her boyfriend’s inanimate adult toy begins to talk to her.
But when her therapist tells her to ’embrace’ the doll, she decides it’s time to bond with the crimson-haired plaything.
