Armed police rush to arrest two men at Saudi Ambassador’s official London residence

Saudi Ambassador’s official UK residence ‘is targeted by arsonists who set fire to front’ of multi-million pound building in Kensington as armed police arrest two men in struggle

The Saudi Ambassador’s official London residence was targeted by suspected arsonists today after a fire was set outside the multi-million pound building and two men were arrested after a struggle.   

Armed police were seen handcuffing two men before taking them away in handcuffs after an earlier incident. 

Witnesses said that one of the men had thrown an object over the high gate in front of the building on Kensington Palace Gardens, setting several bushes on fire. 

The London Fire Brigade told MailOnline: ‘We were called to bushes alight at 1.41pm. It was under control by 1.50pm. 

‘One fire engine attended and there were no reported injuries.’
