Aussie actress reveals how her $5million earnings have been used up

Australian actress Adelaide Kane has revealed the harsh truth about what B-list stars in Hollywood really earn.

In a viral TikTok video, the 30-year-old explained in detail how the estimated $5million that she’s made throughout her career has been used up on taxes, managers, and other costs.

The CW star said that her agent and manager each take a 10 per cent cut of the money, followed by five per cent each for her lawyer and business manager.

On top of that, she has to pay a whopping 30 per cent in taxes because she’s a foreign citizen working in America. 

‘So I lose 60 per cent right off the bat, which leaves me with about $2.2 million over the last 14 years,’ she said.

‘Which if you average it out comes down to about $178,000 ish a year which would be fine, good wage. Except I have to pay rent in major cities, sometimes two cities at once.’

Beyond that, Adelaide also needs to fork out for a publicist, social media manager, and a stylist for events.

‘I have to pay a publicist which is usually $2000 to $3000 a month, when I’ve had social media teams that’s been about $2000 a month,’ she continued.

The young star also said that a stylist can charge $700 to $1500 per outfit, on top of another $1000 for hair and makeup.

Adelaide got her big break on the Australian soap Neighbours, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Hollywood.

She’s best known for playing Mary, Queen of Scots in the CW drama Reign.

The brunette beauty also starred on ABC’s Once Upon a Time and the CBS series SEAL Team.
