Thousands of mums have confessed the most ‘irrational’ things they did while they were pregnant in a hilarious social media thread.

Australian comedian Christian Hull asked women to share the moments their heightened pregnancy hormones caused them to do something they naturally wouldn’t do in an amusing video on Facebook.

The former 2DayFM producer said the topic all started after his six-month pregnant friend became irrationally furious after her husband forgot to order cheese with her burger.

‘She called her husband, and said: ‘please on the way home, can you swing by Hungry Jack’s and pick me up a Whopper with cheese’. So he gets home with her Whopper – no cheese because you have to order them separately,’ Christian said.

‘She became so irate, she kicked him out of the house for 18 hours, threw the burger in the bin in sheer disgust that it didn’t have a tiny slice of cheese like she asked for.

‘Then she said she was so sad and hungry that she went to the bin, got the burger out and ate it whilst crying.’

After sharing his friend’s story, Christian asked his followers to share their own stories.

‘My husband made my roast vegetables for dinner and I was able to actually keep it down so I asked him to make it exactly the same the following night. I cried inconsolably because the carrots were a different size,’ one woman confessed.

Another expectant mother revealed how she treated herself to a whole pepperoni pizza after her husband refused to buy it for her for breakfast.

‘So after he left for work at 11am, I got home delivered, ate the entire pizza and hid the evidence,’ she said.

‘He came home 10 minutes after I cleaned up with a pepperoni pizza as a surprise. I ate one piece then cried hysterically because I felt sick.’

One woman said she forced her husband to drive her around town late at night because she was craving a chocolate cake.

‘After an hour looking, I had to settle with a chocolate glazed Krispy Kreme and bawled because it wasn’t chocolate cake. He then came home the next night with a mud cake from Woolies, and I cried because I didn’t want it anymore,’ she explained.

Another pregnant woman said she ended up crying in the middle of the frozen aisle after she realised her favourite ice cream was discontinued while one woman confessed she broke down in tears after struggling to tie her shoe laces.

‘I cried because I couldn’t reach to do up my shoelaces – then cried again when my husband didn’t do them up ‘floppy’ enough. I still don’t even know what ‘floppy enough’ means,’ the woman said.

Many pregnant women admitted they just ‘cried’ over things they normally wouldn’t.

‘I cried for half an hour because I watched a raccoon put his candy floss in a puddle and dissolved it and was looking for it,’ one said.

Another said: ‘I cried when my KitKat was already broken In the packet,’ while another added: ‘I cried because my best mate was sitting on my favourite side of the couch and wouldn’t move.’

Others shared their hilarious food cravings during pregnancy.

‘I cried and didn’t talk to my partner for three days. He wouldn’t drive out at 2am to find me croissants and chocolate milk. Partners can be so unreasonable,’ one woman said, along with laughing emojis.

Another added: ‘I was craving a lollipop whilst pregnant. As I unwrapped it, the lollipop fell off the stick. I was hysterical for about an hour. My partner told me just to put the lollipop in my mouth and eat it like a lolly. My response “but then it’s not a lollipop anymore.’

Mums share pregnancy confessions

I lost my s*** one day after work when it was 40 degrees and I waddled to my car, and opened the passenger door and someone had moved my steering wheel to the other side.

I put my slippers on then realised they were on the wrong feet so I sat there and cried cause I put all my effort into putting them on.

I called my husband and asked if he was stopping at the servo on the way home. He said “yes” and I asked him to buy me a drumstick. 20 minutes later, he turned up with an eight-piece feed from KFC – all drumsticks but not the drumstick I wanted! I cried but then ate the KFC.

I sobbed uncontrollably during a date night dinner because I was worried the baby was lonely in my belly.

My husband bought brushed potatoes instead of washed potatoes so I had a massive meltdown about it and cried and cried. He then scrubbed the whole bag of potatoes for me.

I kicked my husband out every Friday and let him home on Monday. When I pregnant I just found his face so irritating. I would often burst out in tears if he would try to go near me.

I opened a brand new big tub of yoghurt then threw the actual tub in the bin and then stood staring at the lid for a full minute wondering where my yoghurt was. Then I cried when I figured it out.

We found out we were having a girl. We could not agree on any girl names. My husband called me one day while I was out and said he liked the name Jacinta. I burst into tears and cried. I asked him why does he like yucky names and said “my daughter would never ever have a name”. I still remember how angry and upset I was with him because of the names he liked.
