The Bachelor’s Locky Gilbert DENIES ever dating Australian Survivor co-star Brooke Jowett – after she was ‘left hurt and blindsided by his decision to end their romance’
Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert has denied ever being romantically involved with Australian Survivor co-star Brooke Jowett.
Ahead of his launch as The Bachelor, Locky has set the record straight about his alleged relationship with Brooke, 26.
The 30-year-old has told multiple publications that they were ‘never an item’ and he’s completely ‘rattled’ by claims he ‘dumped her’ for the popular reality TV series.

Locky and Brooke became close in Fiji while filming Australian Survivor: All Stars in September 2019.
He told Woman’s Day on Monday: ‘We never hung out outside of the show… we never dated… She’s an awesome chick, I wish her the best.’
‘Everyone is saying “he dumped her for the show”, but me and Brooke were never an item. We never even caught up outside from the show, so seeing that does rattle you,’ Locky also told TV Week.

Brooke had suggested a relationship with Locky was ‘still on the cards’ just days before his big announcement in March, and was seemingly blindsided by the news.
The Melbourne-based personal trainer wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘Yes, I’m hurt and a little blindsided, but I wish the best for Locky. I always will.’
She jokingly said that she hopes her ex ‘stacks it and splits his pants on day one’.

‘Brooke’s an amazing girl, it was filmed five months ago, so that’s quite a while ago now,’ he said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Locky was given an opportunity to respond to allegations he ‘dumped’ Brooke and joined The Bachelor franchise for the wrong reasons on Hit 107’s Bec & Cosi.
‘I’m definitely in it for the right reasons,’ he said, adding: ‘I don’t know how I can bring my ex-girlfriend along. I’m pretty sure she’s dating someone else.’

On Hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt at the time, he also revealed that he won’t be deleting his history with Brooke – or any of his exes – from his Instagram timeline.
‘I know people do go back and cull all their images, but that was a good time in my life and I don’t want to just delete that from my memory,’ he said.
‘Obviously that’s the past for a reason, and this is the future.’
Locky had previously dated Love Island Australia star Jordan Cayless until mid-2019.
