This is the hilarious moment a BBC presenter was caught on camera sighing during a news bulletin on Dominic Cummings’ resignation when the bullet.
Look East presenter Louise Priest was caught unawares when BBC One’s lunchtime news cut to her instead of a report by political correspondent Jonathan Blake on the ‘tensions at Number 10’.
Footage of a stony-faced Priest who had been waiting to start her local news bulletin in the Norwich studio, was shared on Twitter where she was hailed for ‘summing up the mood of the nation’.
It appears the gaffe, which occurred during the 1pm bulletin, was only seen by viewers in the corporation’s East region.

Social media users have taken to Twitter after the amusing video was posted online following the news bulletin on November 13.

It appears that the Norwich studio cut to her too early and the presenter sighs heavily and drops her shoulders before beginning to read her bulletin.
The presenter first joined BBC Radio Norfolk in the early 80s as a young news reporter, before becoming a news producer and occasional presenter.
She first started presenting BBC Look East in 1987 and stayed for three years before moving to Essex, working with both BBC Look East and BBC Essex.
In 1993 she began to present BBC Radio Norfolk’s breakfast programme for six years before returning to BBC Look East as a programme planner and presenter.
The BBC have been approached for comment.
