Bec Hewitt’s daughter Ava, nine, is following in her mother’s footsteps

Chip off the old block! Bec Hewitt’s lookalike daughter Ava, nine, is following in her mother’s footsteps by pursuing a career in acting

Her mother starred as Hayley Lawson on the long-running soap Home and Away from 1998 to 2005.

And it appears that Bec Hewitt’s daughter Ava, nine, is following in mum’s footsteps after she made her acting debut in a Target commercial earlier this month.

According to Woman’s Day, Bec has been guiding her little girl through her dancing, modelling and acting auditions.

Bec is reportedly ‘over the moon’ with the advertising campaign, and is said to be thrilled her lookalike daughter has decided to pursue acting.

Coincidentally, Ava is about the same age Bec was when she kicked off her career in TV commercials as a young girl.

In the Target ad, Ava is seen running through fields with an Australian Kelpie while wearing the brand’s new children’s collection.

She modelled a muted pink beanie and scarf set with a fluffy white vest and a long-sleeved grey dress.

Bec’s mini-me excitedly shared the advert to her Instagram page, which already has more than 7,700 followers.

It isn’t the first time Ava has been in front of the camera. She has previously appeared in a Wonder Smooth Wholegrain bread commercial with her siblings, Mia, 14, and Cruz, 11.

When Bec married her husband, tennis player Lleyton Hewitt, in 2005, she was a soap actress and pop star, but she quit her entertainment career after becoming a mother.

She briefly returned to television in 2018 to host Nine travel show Hello World.

The Hewitts are currently based in Melbourne where they own a $12.7million mansion, having previously lived in the Bahamas.

The Georgian-style mansion is in the upmarket suburb of Toorak, which they’ve lived in since June 2017.
