Bert and Patti’s baby joy! TV legends’ daughter Lauren Newton reveals she’s pregnant with her SIXTH child with swimmer husband Matt Welsh
Lauren Newton has revealed she is pregnant with her sixth child.
The 40-year-old daughter of Australian TV royalty, Bert and Patti Newton, shared the happy news on Instagram on Friday.
Lauren posted a sweet picture online of her youngest daughter Perla, 15 months, holding a sonogram photo and wrote: ‘Perla is thrilled she is going to be a big sister!!!’

She added the hashtag: ‘Baby number six!’
Patti, 75, also shared her the exciting news on her own Instagram, adding a picture of when Lauren was just a tiny tot.
‘Another beautiful baby to love. So lucky this baby is having number six,’ Patti wrote.

She added: ‘In these sad and difficult times, wonderful to have such joy to look forward to.’
‘The best parents and the most fabulous children, we miss you so much, our love Nana and Poppy.’
Lauren shares her children with Olympic swimmer husband, Matt Welsh, 43.
They are proud parents to son Sam, 11, daughters Eva, nine, and Lola, six, as well as son Monty, two, and Perla.
However, Lauren thought she’d just have one child and see how it went, never having planned for a large family.

‘I never wanted to be a mum with a double pram, but after I had Sam I got pregnant again really quickly,’ she told 9Honey last year.
‘[Being parents] is just the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to us both.’
In a 2016 interview with The Herald Sun, Lauren’s 81-year-old father Bert spoke warmly about life as a grandfather.
Bert revealed that he and wife Patti make a point of seeing their daughter and grandchildren every day.
‘They wouldn’t realise it at the moment, but they have made this one of the happiest times of my life,’ he said of his grandchildren.
‘There is that old saying, ‘the wonderful thing about being a grandfather, or grandparent, is that you give the kids back!’
‘But in the case of Patti and myself, we don’t want to.’
Lauren is Bert and Patti’s youngest child. She has one older brother, Matthew Newton.
