Bethany Hamilton of Soul Surfer fame shows off her baby bump in a stylish color-blocked swimsuit

She defied all the odds and came back from a horrific shark attack to return to the world of professional surfing. 

And Bethany Hamilton, the inspiration behind the film Soul Surfer, looked radiant during a beachside photoshoot in Malibu, California on Friday.

The pregnant mother of two, 30, wore a color-blocked swimsuit in shades of peach, gray and black. 

She wore her blonde hair down, and donned brown sandals in the sand. 

At one point she wrapped up in a white robe and wore a face shield for safety against the still spreading coronavirus. 

The athlete lost her left arm in a 2003 shark attack.

She nonetheless trained and returned to the sport of professional surfing, which is what inspired the 2011 movie Soul Surfer starring AnnaSophia Robb.

Bethany is married to Adam Dirks, and they share two sons.

The Hawaiian-born Hamilton gave birth to older son Tobias, five, in 2015, and Wesley Philip, two, in 2018.

Also on Friday, Bethany took to Instagram with a lovely photo with one of her children, standing in crystal clear ocean water that was ankle deep.

In the snap, she wore a fetching yellow and white patterned one piece bathing suit and matching baseball cap.

She cradled her pregnant belly and smiled at the camera.

In the caption, she mentioned how ‘we keep getting asked if our baby is a boy or a girl…’ adding blue and pink heart emojis.

She continued, ‘we are actually waiting till birth to find out!!! It’s one of life‘s greatest surprises and we don’t want to spoil it!!!’
