Bicester horse owner dragged across a field by his foal

Feeling foal-ish? Hilarious moment young horse takes down her owner by ripping down plastic fence and wrapping it round his ankles

  • Julian Lefevre , 51, was inspecting his foal in a field in Bicester, Oxfordshire
  • He was feeding the horses along with his friend AJ when he got into trouble
  •  The video footage shows Mr Lefevre being dragged across the field by his foal

This is the moment an energetic young horse ran circles round her owner and managed to knock him over.

Julian Lefevre, 51, was feeding the horses with a friend when one-year-old thoroughbred, Bluebell, ran round them – taking the plastic fence with her.

But while his friend AJ managed to jump out the way just in time, the security engineer was left tangled up and taken out at the ankles before being dragged across the field.

After catching the incident on CCTV, Julian’s wife Cheryl, 53, shared the side-splitting footage on social media adding that thankfully ‘only his pride was hurt’.

She said: ‘It’s absolutely hilarious and I keep watching it whenever I need a laugh.

‘I had to share it in case it gives someone else a smile too.

‘Bluebell is just one of those kinds of foals – she’s cheeky, full of energy and a proper diva.

‘I think she just decided to take the fence on.

‘You can’t hear it in the video but my husband is trying to tell his friend to be careful but then his friend manages to get free and it’s Julian that gets dragged away.

‘Thankfully it was only his pride that got hurt!’

Cheryl said: ‘It made me laugh watching the video back because you can see Lily in the background walking off, clearly thinking this is nothing to do with me, you can sort out your own mess.’
