Big Brother All-Stars: Nicole Franzel wins endurance test during first of three HoH competitions

Nicole Franzel scored a major victory by winning the first of three Head of Household competitions on Monday’s episode of Big Brother: All-Stars.

It secured the 28-year-old social media influencer a place in season 22’s final HoH game on Wednesday, during which she will face off against either Enzo Palumbo, 42, or Cody Calafiore, 29.

The person who survives that face-off will then choose who they want by their side for the final jury vote, which gives one of them a chance at winning $500,000.

Nicole used her small size to her advantage to win ‘BB Scary-Go-Round,’ a game that required players to stand on tiny swinging disks while getting pelted with slime and rain.

The men were ‘shocked’ that she’d done it, Nicole observed with a grin.

‘This is so huge, so so so so big,’ she crowed. ‘I’m guaranteed a spot in part three! Now, the big question is, if I win part three, who am I taking with me to the end?’

Enzo and Cody will face off against each other Wednesday in another HOH competition, which will determine who joins Nicole for the third and final ‘comp.’

Cody wasn’t thrilled about having to go up against his pal, but he seemed resigned to it.

‘This is going to be a tough pill to swallow, but I need to focus,’ the real-estate agent said. ‘I plan on going into [the game] and smoking Enzo.’

Enzo was frankly worried about his chances against Cody, who had already won seven ‘comps.’

‘Now I have to compete against this comp beast to keep my fate alive,’ he moaned.

The Final Three houseguests had earlier outlined the strategies that had gotten them this far into BB22, and each of them felt sure they could win.

Enzo said that he had relied on his ‘flawless social game’ to make friends, join alliances, get people to reveal their own alliances, and stay off the block.

‘Even though I wasn’t part of the main alliance that steamrolled through the season, I might as well have been, because most of them protected me week after week,’ Enzo affirmed.

‘It was all about telling people what they wanted to hear,’ he added. ‘At this point, it’s everybody for themselves man. My only remaining alliance is my kids.’

Cody revealed that he’d entered the house wanting to be a ‘triple threat,’ with a strong social, physical and strategic game.

‘For me, playing Big Brother has been a full-time job from the moment I stepped into this house,’ he said. ‘I have been playing 24/7 for 90 days, and not taken one minute off.’

Cody knew that it would be important to win the first HoH competition, because it gave him a great deal of power and helped him accumulate allies.

‘I had three Final Twos by day two,’ he reflected, noting that he helped direct the fate of the other houseguests by co-founding The Committee.

Nicole arrived on the show knowing she’d be a target as she’d previously won BB16, so she surrounded herself with strong players who could keep her off the block.

‘I entered this house with one goal,’ Nicole said. ‘To make BB history by being the first person to ever win twice, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.’

The only person she deliberately targeted was Janelle Pierzina, 40, who she knew was ‘gunning for’ her and whom she didn’t stop pushing ‘until she was out the door.’

‘I strategically laid low and fooled people into thinking I was a weak player,’ Nicole shared, explaining how she survived the block against houseguest Daniele Donato, 33.

When Nicole’s allies left, she ‘kicked it into high gear’ and won both a competition and the golden power of veto in one week, even eliminating Cody’s Committee co-founder.

The show then turned its attention to the first five houseguests who had been kicked out.

None of them were surprised that Cody, Enzo, and Nicole were in the Final Three, though they felt that Cody might have had his hand ‘in too many candy jars’ to win.

They weren’t sure about Nicole’s odds, feeling as though she had ‘ridden Cody’s coattails’ to her current position, but observed that Enzo’s likability could help him triumph over Cody.

But Anthony gave props to ‘a fellow Nicole,’ saying, ‘The fact that she survived not only a double, but a triple [eviction] and is still there for Final Three? Woah.’

Janelle wasn’t having it, saying, ‘It’s not like Nicole is a mastermind, you guys.’
