Big Brother’s Flex Mami strips down to her underwear for empowering new campaign for Bras N Things

Hot off her appearance on this year’s season of Big Brother, Flex Mami features in the latest ad campaign for Bras N Things.

The 26-year-old TV host, DJ, author and podcaster stripped down to her underwear for the lingerie company’s new I Am Many Things campaign.

Flex – real name Lillian Ahenkan – flaunted her curves in a variety of sexy ensembles, including a purple-coloured floral bra with black lace detailing.

She also modelled a pale pink lace underwear set, lounging seductively on a pink carpet with her head resting on one of her hands.

Other photos showed Flex in a mint green floral lace underwear set, which was styled with a maroon-coloured leather-look trenchcoat.

In one glamorous photo, Flex tossed her head back and laughed as jewelled earrings dripped from her ears and silver chains adorned her neck.

Flex also showed off the brand’s new loungewear collection, modelling a pair of cropped wide-leg pants and a matching crop top with a tie front.

And in what is perhaps a nod to her stint on reality TV, she posed alongside a set of stacked television sets wearing nothing but a red floral lace lingerie set.

The seemingly untouched ad campaign shows Flex in all her natural beauty, complete with gapped teeth and stretch marks.

In a recent press release, Bras N Things said they aimed to encourage women ‘to take control and rewrite, reimagine and redefine the story of their life’.

They said the goal of their new campaign was to help ‘women feel empowered and confident in their own skin, embrace their sensuality and feel comfortable to speak more openly about their hopes and desires’.

Flex said she chose to partake in the campaign to help empower women, particularly women of colour.

‘I feel like there’s always an emphasis on women having to create a statement or a justification for their existence,’ she explained.

‘I know first-hand how overwhelming that can be, so I hope women take what resonates from this campaign and leave what doesn’t. The individual should make that decision.

‘I chose to work with Bras N Things because I want to see more black women and plus-size bodies represented in Australian media. Instead of lamenting that change isn’t happening quick enough, I stepped into the opportunity when it was presented to me. Hopefully, this inspires other brands to do the same.’
