Big Brother ‘CHEATING scandal’ sends fans into a frenzy as ‘unfair’ call sends Shane Vincent packing

Big Brother Australia fans have erupted on Twitter over a ‘cheating scandal’ on Sunday night’s episode.

Mat Garrick was named the ‘winner’ of a tough box-stacking nomination challenge, but viewers claim Shane Vincent should have won.

‘That is SO unfair! Shane had more boxes than Mat,’ one outraged fan wrote after the shock verdict was handed down by Big Brother.

A second said: ‘If one has 14 and the other has 13, then 14 must win’.

A third tweeted: ‘Shane low key should’ve won, he had his block placed, so his stack was harder to manage.’

The neck-and-neck nomination challenge required each housemate to stack coloured boxes one at a time vertically against a wall to stay in the game.

As the task got tougher, Mat appeared to deliberately wait for Shane to go first to buy himself time.

Even Angela Clancy was seen whimpering to Mat to let Shane go, and potentially crumble, first.

However, at the very last second on the verbal countdown Shane’s boxes crumbled and Mat abandoned his attempt to celebrate.

Big Brother announced Mat as the winner, despite his rival going further in the box-stacking competition.

Interestingly, when Shane’s boxes fell it was actually 17 seconds after Big Brother told Mat he had 10 seconds left.

Oh no! Shane's boxes fell down, forfeiting his win. However, Mat never successfully stacked the same amount of boxes, and also appeared to exceed the 10-second timer given to him

There are currently 12 housemates left in the house vying for the enviable $250,000 cash prize.

Australia will vote for a winner next month during a live finale when there are only three stars remaining.
