Big Brother EXCLUSIVE: It’s not all bad news! Daniel Gorringe has already started looking at engagement rings with girlfriend Ana Cannon
Daniel Gorringe unfortunately didn’t secure enough votes to win Big Brother during Wednesday night’s live finale.
But he still has plenty of reasons to smile, as appearing on the show has brought him closer to his on-off girlfriend Ana Cannon.
The former AFL player, 28, told Daily Mail Australia that being in the house for several weeks encouraged him to make things work with Ana.

Daniel, who reunited with Ana after filming the show, said they now both know they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
‘The distance away from each other and the break prior to the show was probably the best thing that could have happened to us,’ he said.
‘I’ve been showing rings to her that she might like. Of course we’ve discussed it, and both have come to the realisation we want to spend our lives with each other.’

During Big Brother’s special COVID-19 lockdown episode, Daniel told Ana that he wanted to marry her someday.
‘I want to marry you. I want you for my whole life. I want you forever and ever and ever- for every single day,’ he said in an emotional phone call from the diary room.
Daniel had previously said he wanted to use the prize money to put a deposit down for a house in Melbourne.
‘I’m excited for the next chapter. I don’t want to be Dan from Big Brother in five years,’ he said

Now that the show is over, Daniel is excited to start his next chapter.
‘I don’t want to be Dan from Big Brother in five years’ time. I want to be something bigger and better than that,’ he said earlier this week.
‘I’m not going to sit back and hope things fall into place. I’ve been lucky to be given a platform at the moment, so I’d love to entertain on a bigger platform, whether that’s TV or radio. I’ll be working very hard to make it happen.’
Dan hopes to follow in the footsteps of former AFL star Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, who transitioned from Big Brother to a media career in the mid-2000s.
‘To see his career now and what he’s done as a public figure, I really like who he is as a person and have great respect for him… hopefully people will forget I’m Dan from Big Brother and I’ll be Dan from something else,’ he said.
