Big Brother star Garth Saville reveals why he dropped THAT bombshell in the house after being evicted… and SLAMS rival Angela Clancy

Big Brother star Garth Saville has revealed why he dropped THAT massive bunker bombshell on the housemates, after he was evicted during Monday’s episode.

Speaking to New Idea this week, the 50-year-old showman said that he had ‘nothing to lose’ after being ‘blindsided’ by his former co-stars and booted off after a majority vote.

He said he wanted to ‘throw a grenade’ into the house after they voted him out and went on to slam Angela Clancy.

Speaking out: Big Brother star Garth Saville revealed this week why he dropped THAT bombshell in the house after being evicted… and SLAMMED rival Angela Clancy

‘So, I just thought to give them a little bit of drama, let’s throw a little grenade into the group and see what happens,’ Garth told the publication.

He went on to call Angela a ‘spoiled rich girl’ and said they didn’t have a strong connection in the Big Brother house.

‘I think she is a little bit of a spoiled rich girl,’ Garth said.

‘She says she came to this country with just a suitcase but I’m sure that suitcase was filled with a whole lot of silver spoons and self-entitlement.’

Garth had the last laugh when he was evicted from the Big Brother house on Monday night.

As he was leaving the compound, he dropped a major bombshell in his parting words to his fellow housemates.

‘I was in the bunker!’ he laughed, leaving the contestants frozen and bewildered as they had no idea what he was talking about.

Garth was voted off by every remaining housemate in a stunning majority.

During Sunday’s episode, Garth had visited Angela Clancy in Big Brother’s hidden control room without his co-stars’ knowledge to plot revenge against Ian Joass, who was eventually eliminated.

Upon re-entering the house on Monday, Angela downplayed her time in the bunker and encouraged Garth to keep their partnership a secret.

But knowing that Angela had voted to evict him, Garth was not willing to keep the event manager’s secret any longer.

‘For what it’s worth, I was in the bunker!’ Garth said, as the housemates looked around the room confused.

Angela put on her best poker face as the others looked to her for confirmation.

Scrambling for an excuse, she said: ‘I was in the bunker. Oh stop, as if Big Brother would… might as well bring in everybody, you know what I mean?’

In the car ride home, Garth said: ‘Angela and I had a little pact after meeting each other in the secret bunker. She said she was going to support me.

‘It really does punch you in the guts. Things change very quickly. This is just the start, there is going to be a lot of blindsiding.’

Big Brother Australia continues Tuesday from 7:30pm on Channel Seven
