Big Shot trailer shows John Stamos coaching a high school girls basketball team to greatness

John Stamos tries to instill greatness into a high school girls basketball team in the new trailer for Big Shot.

Disney Plus will launch the new 10-episode series, which also stars Yvette Nicole Brown and Jessalyn Gilsig, on April 16.

The show follows Stamos’ Marvyn Korn, a once-legendary NCAA basketball coach who was fired and now must take a job at an elite all-girls private school.

The trailer begins with some shots of Korn in his prime, angrily expressing his emotions on the court.

He’s also seen in the office of the school’s dean, Sherilyn Thomas (Yvette Nicole Brown), who tells Korn that, ‘coaches are expected to be role models.’

That is paired with a shot of Korn taking out his anger by throwing a chair, while he’s told to, ‘not screw this up.’

She adds that some of the girls can be ‘a bit much,’ as he finds one of the girls chewing gum, who responds that ‘my way or the highway doesn’t work here.’

The trailer winds down with a number of shots of the team in action, with Korn adding, ‘If you try your very best, you have the potential to be great.’

Big Shot’s first season, which spans 10 episodes, debuts on Disney Plus April 16.
