She will soon welcome her first child with her husband, Chandler Powell.

And ahead of her daughter’s arrival in late March, Bindi Irwin has revealed the ‘random’ food cravings she’s experienced throughout her ‘extraordinary’ pregnancy.

‘I have experienced some interesting food cravings like seaweed and lettuce wraps -random but delicious!’ she said.

The mother-to-be then detailed the difficulties she’d faced during her pregnancy because of her short stature.

‘At about 5′ 2″ I’ve always been quite small, so carrying our daughter has definitely brought challenges as she continues to grow,’ Bindi told the publication.

‘Reaching down to tie my shoes or pick up an animal is quite difficult now. That’s for sure!’

Elsewhere in the interview, Bindi revealed how her late father, Steve Irwin, had inspired her daughter’s nickname, Baby Wildlife Warrior.

She said her dad had been the first person to use the term ‘Wildlife Warrior’, so she couldn’t think of a better placeholder name for her little one.

Bindi added that Steve would have been ‘the best grandfather’.

Steve died in September 2006 at the age of 44 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a documentary in Batt Reef, Queensland.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant announced her pregnancy in August.

She and Chandler, 24, had married in a small ceremony at Australia Zoo in March last year, right at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
