The 34-year-old shared a picture of herself with a longtime friend on her Instagram Story, and wrote: ‘The opinions of those that have known me five, ten, 15 plus years hold the most weight.’

She was first passed over by Jackson Garlick, who handed his rose to her love rival Brittney Weldon instead.

Cassandra was openly bitter, ranting: ‘I’m not surprised that Jackson decided to give his rose to Brittney.

‘It goes to show that I’m just looking at a guy that hasn’t had much life experience and will definitely learn from this mistake. They always do.’

Over the course of the show, Cass also tried to wrangle Alex McKay from the grasp of Keira Maguire, to no avail.

As Keira predicted, Alex picked her, and Cass was left without a rose, ending her time in paradise.

And many fans watching at home were happy to see her go, after she was dubbed a ‘mean girl’ for cruel comments she’d made about Brittney.

One person Tweeted: ‘Whew, feels like a weight is off my shoulders now that malevolent Cass is finally gone.’

Another wrote: ‘Mean girl Cass is gone. How very exciting,’ while someone else added: ‘On the bright side, at least there is no more Cass’.
