Byron Bay real estate agent reveals sales are booming as Hollywood stars including Chris Hemsworth and Zac Efron flock to the beachside town
Byron Bay has become a thriving A-list hot spot for both Australian and American stars.
Hollywood heavyweight Chris Hemsworth has famously set up home there, along with model Elyse Knowles and singer Natalie Bassingthwaighte – and now Zac Efron has been spotted in the seaside enclave in recent weeks.
On Wednesday, First National Byron Bay sales manager Tara Torkkola told Sydney Confidential the real estate business in the once-quiet town is now booming, even during COVID-19.

‘We’ve had our best quarter in 30 years, which we never imagined that to happen during the pandemic,’ Tara said.
She added: ‘These are Instagram famous people, car designers living in Hong Kong, celebrities living in LA and actors.’
Once a sleepy nook favoured by backpackers and spiritual types, the area has become an oasis for Hollywood stars during the COVID-19 outbreak.
