She’s the self-made Instagram sensation who built an impressive 7.9million fanbase by parodying celebrities’ social media posts. 

But fans may have a hard time recognising mega-popular comedian Celeste Barber from her high school photo. 

On Tuesday, the 38-year-old funnywoman shared a glimpse into her childhood photo album during a Q&A with fans on Instagram Stories.

Among the images was a high school portrait showing Celeste as an awkward teenager with frizzy hair, bushy eyebrows and gappy teeth. 

The self-deprecating comedian shared the photo in response to a fan who had asked: ‘Why are you so amazing?’ 

‘What can I say? The amazingness started early,’ she responded in the caption.

In another post, Celeste responded to a fan who asked: ‘What advice would you give your younger self?’

Celeste uploaded a photo of herself as a cheeky-faced little girl. 

‘You’re doing great sweetie,’ Celeste responded, referencing a memorable quote from Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Celeste has built a loyal fanbase thanks to her Instagram videos and photos spoofing celebrities’ lifestyles.

She has previously poked fun at the likes of Tammy Hembrow, Miley Cyrus and Gwyneth Paltrow, by mimicking their posts in her own unique way. 

In March, Celeste appeared on The Project  and revealed that some influencers and celebrities often contact her begging to be parodied.

‘Yep. Heaps,’ she said when asked if anyone had asked to be featured on her profile.

‘I also get people going, “Have you seen so and so? You need to parody her. She needs the followers”. It’s full on,’ she added.  

However, Celeste has also made friends with some big names after mocking them.

‘I am friendly with some of them, which is nice,’ she said, before joking: ‘Anyway, I was talking to Cindy Crawford and she said…’
