‘My best friend is in heaven now’: Caprice Bourret reveals her pet dog Stinker has died aged 20 following years of health ailments
Caprice Bourret has revealed her pet dog Stinker has died in an emotional Instagram post.
The model, 49, confirmed her dog, who was 20 years old, had passed away following years of health ailments, including dementia.
The reality star shared a series of snaps of Stinker from over the years and told how the pooch had recently suffered a stroke.

She wrote: ‘I can’t sleep again my heart hurts… my beautiful baby girl… my lil companion and best friend of 20 years is in heaven now…
‘Stinker defied all the odds with a degenerative heart condition diagnosed in 2010 then put on meds a few years later only supposed to prolong your pets life by 18 months yet she still kept going so strong for another 9 years…
‘Also recently suffered a stroke and managed to nurse her back to health along with the help of my amazing vet… in the end my lil girl was just tired…’
Caprice told how she was ‘cuddling and kissing’ Stinker when she suddenly passed away in her arms.

’20 years is a long time…it just happened so fast… I was cuddling her and kissing her nonstop and finally told her it was ok it was time to go to heaven and 2 seconds later she took her last little breathe…
‘She was the best dog and I knew she lived a great life full of love and cuddles… I just miss her!!!!! To all of you who have lost a pet my heart my love my sadness goes out to you right now’.
Caprice, who is originally from California, got Stinker shortly after she moved to Britain.
Of her beloved pet, a source previously told MailOnline: ‘Caprice is very close to her dog Stinker who is now 19 years old. Caprice got her not long after she moved to London to keep her company.
She wrote: ‘I can’t sleep again my heart hurts… my beautiful baby girl… my lil companion and best friend of 20 years is in heaven now’
‘Unfortunately Stinker suffers from dementia and is deaf. Stinker also has heart problems and Caprice has to carry her to a patch of grass near her house as she can’t walk very far.
‘Stinker’s cardiologist was honest with Caprice and they said she wouldn’t survive more than 6 months but that was two and a half years ago now.’
However, an insider later said that Caprice had become worried ‘the end’ was near for Stinker back in June when she stopped eating.

They said: ‘She has been trying to take Stinker out for short bike rides to get some fresh air, and is spending as much time with her as possible.
‘Caprice has to feed Stinker by hand but hasn’t eaten much in the last 3 days despite Caprice making her favourite dishes.
‘She is trying everything to make her comfortable and protected but is still sad that the inevitable might be near.’
She wrote: ‘She was the best dog and I knew she lived a great life full of love and cuddles… I just miss her!’
