Carrie Bickmore enjoys some fun in the sun with her daughter Adelaide while spending the Christmas holidays in Byron Bay

Carrie Bickmore is ringing in the festive season in Byron Bay, where she owns a $3million holiday home.

And the Project host, 40, certainly seemed to be in holiday mode on Saturday as she spent time at the beach with her daughter Adelaide, two.

She looked every inch the stylish mama in a white T-shirt and denim shorts as she carried her youngest child on her hip.

Carrie protected herself from the sun with a beige hat and a pair of designer shades.

She completed her laid-back look with thongs and carried her belongings in a patterned beach bag.

The Channel 10 star arrived at the beach clutching a pink boogie board.

Cute as a button: After setting up a place on the sand, the Project host, 40, ventured into the gentle surf with Adelaide, who was dressed in a light purple onesie

In an interview with Body + Soul in April last year, Carrie said she doesn’t strive for perfection as a mother.

‘I don’t think life is ever perfectly in balance, that’s okay,’ she said. ‘I think we should aspire to have perfect lives – the joy is in the imperfection.

‘Some days my home life takes more of my time and energy, so my work life takes a back seat; other weeks I have a crazy work schedule, so my house becomes a mess and we eat more takeaway.’
