Grant Denyer’s wife Chezzi reveals the horrifying reality of the mouse plague… and says the vermin have scuttled through her bed, pooped in the pantry and infested the children’s school bags
Chezzi Denyer has revealed the sickening reality of the current NSW mice plague, revealing that the vermin have infested her Bathurst home.
The 40-year-old new mother took to Instagram on Wednesday to lament the over-population of rodents which have taken over her home.
‘We are NOT OK! Alright,’ she wrote, encouraging her followers to check on their friends who live in the bush.

She explained she’d found mice and their droppings everywhere around her home and they’d spoiled her food and made a mess.
‘We’ve had mice eating through wall battens, living throughout our pantry, through the kids school bags, scuttling under and over our beds,’ she wrote.
She then added: ‘I’ve found mouse poo in my laundry hamper, in my SHOWER, YUK! I’ve even found mouse poo in my slippers.’

Chezzi then showed a meat thermometer after it had been bitten into by mice.
‘My meat thermometer,’ she wrote.
‘Little mouse nibbles. Yuk! Only found these AFTER I had cooked my pork roast.’

Chezzi lives on a property in Bathurst with TV star husband Grant Denyer and their children: Sailor, Scout and Sunday.
The mother-of-three went as far as to say they were thinking of moving out of their property until it gets under control.
‘There is just so many now it’s laughable,’ she said, clearly frazzled.

‘Laughable because we’ve had no back wall due to our renovation (this has now been rectified and every hole filled with steel wool!)’
She had to put everything in heavy duty plastic containers.

After a heavy rainfall season millions of mice have been attracted to the flourishing crops in the region.
According to the AAP, mice damage reports were flooding in from farmers and rural communities from the north, south and central west.
The NSW Western Area Health Service reporting increased cases of leptospirosis as a result of mice in domestic dwellings.
