Chick Fight trailer pits Malin Akerman against Bella Thorne with some help from Alec Baldwin

A woman down on her luck fights back against all of her demons in the trailer for the upcoming knockout comedy Chick Fight Club.

Malin Akerman stars as Anna Wyncomb, a woman down on her luck who is introduced to an all-female fight club.

With the help of a drunken trainer (Alec Baldwin, who previously starred with Akerman in Rock of Ages), Anna tries to fight her way to victory against the top fighter Olivia (Bella Thorne).

The trailer opens with Anna and her friend Charleen (Dulce Sloan) sitting at a cafe when a man walks in and they both take notice.

‘That’s right, undress him with your eyes, peel off that spandex,’ Charleen jokes, when Anna protests, ‘Stop, that’s not what I’m doing.’

Charleen jokes that his pants are so tight that his ‘little dude is also wearing a tiny bike helmet.’

Anna is the seen having beers with Ed (Kevin Nash), who notices that she seems, ‘upset’ as she explains everything going wrong in her life.

‘Well, my business is in the toilet, I can barely pay my bills and my car got repossessed, other than that, I’m amazing,’ she says, as we also see her coming home to an eviction notice.

Charleen takes Anna to a large warehouse, telling her she needs to ‘come face-to-face with who you are and what you’re capable of,’ introducing her to an all-female fight club.

Charleen explains, ‘this is a place is a shelter, a safe haven for women to come without societal judgment.

Charleen gets in the ring with a smaller white woman, who calls her Lizzo, which results in her getting knocked out.

Anna steps in the octagon next but it doesn’t last long, as a highly-trained woman chokes her out.

Bear (Fortune Feimster) asks if she’s going to tap out, but she says, ‘I don’t know what tap out means.’

When she comes to she’s being looked after by Dr. Roy (Kevin Connolly), who tells her, ‘it took a lot of courage’ to step up and fight.

While Anna thinks it would ‘take a miracle worker’ to help her, Charleen introduces her to Jack Murphy (Alec Baldwin).

After accidentally punching a guy in the face, she starts her training, as Jack notices, ‘You don’t even hit like a girl, you hit like a cat, a cat that can’t box.’

Anna also has an small run-in with the best fighter at the club, Olivia, who thinks that place should only be for the best fighters.

Anna boldly claims, ‘I’m not afraid of you, Cobra Kai,’ but Olivia threatens, ‘You better watch your back,’ though Anna retorts clumsily, ‘You better watch your… front… parts.’

Bear tells Anna that she might ‘lose’ her ‘pretty face’ while a crazed Olivia tells Anna, ‘I’ll see you in here tomorrow night.’

The trailer winds down with Anna starting her training in earnest along with a number of action-packed shots in the octagon.

The trailer ends with Anna telling Charleen, ‘This is crazy!’ as she responds, ‘Mmm-hmm’ and another shot of Jack laughing at Anna telling him about the fight club.

The film will be released through Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment starting November 13.
