Chris Hemsworth proves why he’s known as Australia’s friendliest celebrity as he poses with fans at the beach in Maroubra

He may be one of Australia’s most successful and richest actors.

But Chris Hemsworth, 37, proved he’s a man of the people on Wednesday as he took the time to pose with fans in Sydney’s eastern suburb of Maroubra.

Locals were left starstruck after spotting the Thor star enjoying a low-key stroll by the beach, and couldn’t help but ask him to pose for a selfie.

One photo from the encounter has since gone viral after a page called Maroubra Community uploaded the image to Facebook.

Chris looked typically suave in the photo, sporting a khaki cap, tight white T-shirt and a pair of reflective sunglasses.

Despite living in Byron Bay, Chris has been spending plenty of time in Sydney of late as he finishes filming Marvel’s upcoming Thor installment, Love & Thunder.

This comes after Chris recently reflected upon how far his career has come over the past decade.

Posting to Instagram last week, the father-of-three uploaded throwback photo of himself and his Thor co-star Tom Hiddleston on Instagram, showing them reading their scripts for the first Thor film, which was released in 2011.

‘This year marks the 10th anniversary of Thor when two unknown lads were given the keys to the kingdom,’ Chris wrote in the caption.

‘It’s been a hell of a ride and we clearly haven’t aged a day,’ he joked, making sure to tag Tom’s account.

The former Home And Away star also shared a Vulture article written in 2009 that referred to himself Tom as ‘no name actors’.

These ‘virtual unknowns’ would go on to become two of Hollywood’s most highly-paid actors.
