In recent weeks Chrissy has been ‘going through intense grief counselling’ and is ‘doing her best to work on herself and stay positive’.

The source continued to say, ‘It is going to be a long and hard journey’.

Chrissy first announced she and husband John were expecting in August, before tragically losing their baby halfway through the pregnancy. She accompanied the post with a series of heart-breaking black and white images moments after the loss.

Following days of bleeding which caused a stint in the hospital, doctors diagnosed Chrissy with partial placental abruption – where the placenta separates from the wall of the uterus causing the baby’s airflow to be blocked or limited – at which point her body could not sustain the child.

After bravely sharing the news on Instagram, she received an outpouring of love from her family, close friends, and even her social media community following the miscarriage.

After taking time to focus on herself and her family, Chrissy recently said she’s beginning to heal emotionally after a ‘brutal and exhausting’ two months.

The former model and cookbook author who is mother to Luna, four, and Miles, two, has been very candid about her emotional struggles on social media while adding, ‘do not worry as I have so much help around me to get better and I’ll be fixed soon.’

In October she wrote on Instagram, ‘When I’m old and grey, I will look back on the last two months as being brutal, exhausting, sad, physically challenging, mentally painful b****** of a couple months,’ as she talked about still trying to find laughter.

Revealing just a few weeks back that her grief was so enormous she opted to only take baths instead of showers since the loss as she could not stand, every day seems to get a bit easier for her.

‘I already see the leaves as orange instead of grey, realized the sky is indeed blue and not black and horn honks on my forced morning walks only bring me to my knees half the time,’ she shared in November.

Teigen continued, ‘I can make it up my stairs only stopping once or twice instead of every other, and can get out of the bathtub all by myself as long as I have the promise john will dry me off. anyhow the point is, f***, I think it’s happening.’

Though her days are marked with many emotional ups and downs, she cited a transformative period around her 35th birthday for helping her see joy – in addition to counseling – which seems to have her on the road to recovery.

Penning a lengthy status update about her mental state on Instagram last week she said, ‘The intense grief and physical pain was gone. My brain was back and my bonessssss, I’m telling you, my bones came back. I will never forget this period in time.’
