Christian Bale shows off his new bald look as he enjoys a beach day with his son Joseph in Sydney

He is currently filming Thor: Love and Thunder in Sydney.

But on Saturday, Christian Bale enjoyed a well-deserved break and spent quality time with his son Joseph.

The Hollywood actor, 47, was spotted enjoying a fun day at a Sydney beach with his six-year-old son.

Christian looked unrecognisable as he displayed a bald look instead of his signature chestnut tresses.

The Dark Knight star dressed casually in camo shorts and a black shirt as he played with Joseph near the water.

The pair were seen exploring as they walked along the rocks and soaked up the sun.

Christian was also spotted returning a lifebuoy after it was washed out to the rocks by heavy surf.

Before going to the beach with his son, the actor visited a local cafe.

He was seen carrying six cups of coffee and two drinks as he walked back to his home.

The actor will play a villain opposite Chris Hemsworth in the new Marvel flick, Thor: Love and Thunder.

The film is scheduled for a February 11, 2022 release, but due to COVID-19 the exact date isn’t set in stone.

Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in the film, recently revealed the actor had been cast as a malevolent as-yet-unnamed character.

Speaking to ET in October, she explained: ‘Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic.

‘I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much. Lots of exciting text messages exchanged between Natalie [Portman] and I.’

Gushing about working with Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, she said they were ‘going to have fun’.

‘Taika is writing [and] directing. Some familiar faces. Some new people coming into the mix.’
