During Good Morning Britain, which was presented by Kate Garraway and Ben Shepherd, Christine was quizzed on Lorraine’s whereabouts by the hosts.

Kate said: ‘Ben has been peddling all sorts of rumours here this morning Christine, and I think it’s been in the papers. One of the reasons Lorraine isn’t on the show is because she’s in her Strictly bubble.’

Christine looked blank and admitted there had been ‘no word’ of Lorraine doing Strictly in the studio, as she repeated what she was being told in her earpiece.

The star added that she would find staying in a bubble ‘too intense’, while Kate joked that it will do nothing for the rumours of a Strictly Come Dancing curse.
