She’s a doting mother to her five-year-old son Alfie who she shares with husband Tom Pitfield. 

And, Catherine Tyldesley, 36, took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate Mother’s Day with a series of sweet photographs dedicated to her ‘amazing mums’.

In one sentimental snap, The former Coronation Street star’s mum Janet can be seen cradling her bare baby bump in a black and white throwback from when she was pregnant with Alfie.

Catherine penned a heartfelt caption to go alongside the sentimental snaps.

She wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing mums! To my wonderful mum Janet, my Grandma Jean and my mother in law Diana. You are all incredible women.

‘I’m so very blessed and grateful to have you in my life. Thankyou for all that you do and all that you are.’

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Catherine also shared a beautiful photograph of herself cradling baby Alfie as a newborn, and wrote: ‘Oh what a privilege is motherhood.’

Catherine responded in a sweet comment on under the post: ‘I’m so bl**dy lucky,’ followed by a series of heart emojis.

Recently, Catherine admitted her whole perspective on life and health changed after she welcomed her son Alfie with husband Tom Pitfield. 

She explained: ‘Since I have had Alfie things are no longer about weight-loss, it is just about being on the planet for as long as possible.

‘When you are busy working mum you can’t afford to get poorly. Children are unforgiving like that.’

She went on to say how important it is to ‘fuel your body correctly’, adding that one would not put ‘petrol in a diesel car’.

The TV personality also discussed her diet prior to her drastic changes and told how she was shocked to learn what she ate ‘lacked nutrients.’

She confessed that with a close friend even compared her diet to that of a body builder. 

After learning her ‘microbes’ were not working as they should be, Catherine changed the way she ate, ditching the steak breakfast and eating a more plant-based diet of fruit, veg and whole grains.
