Coronavirus: Inside Lauren Mand and Jimmy Bartel’s romantic lockdown

COVID-19 lockdowns have pushed some couples to breaking point, but self-isolation appears to have brought Jimmy Bartel and Lauren Mand even closer together.

The lovebirds are hunkering down in Melbourne, where they have been enjoying romantic nights in and retro videogame marathons.

In a recent Instagram post, socialite Lauren, 31, shared a photo of herself and Jimmy challenging each other on Mario Kart 64.

In another, which was posted on Monday evening, she and Jimmy, 36, relaxed on the couch while holding glasses of red wine.

‘Even though we sit here every night, it’s still just as good each time,’ she captioned the post.

On April 8, they enjoyed a movie night complete with pizza and choc-tops, which Lauren said was ‘better than Gold Class.’

It seems Jimmy has finally found ‘The One’ after splitting from his wife, Nadia, last year. 

The exes’ break-up was particularly messy and dominated headlines for months.

They announced their split in August, but it’s believed they had actually separated two months earlier.

The Bartels, who share sons Aston, four, and Henley, one, married on the Bellarine Peninsula in 2014 after meeting at the 2008 Australian Grand Prix.

Following their break-up, a ‘heartbroken’ Nadia told the Herald Sun: ‘It’s been a very difficult month for me and the boys.’

It’s unclear when Jimmy began dating Lauren, but it was reported they were in a ‘long-term relationship’ at the time of his marriage breakdown.
