Corrections and clarifications
An article on March 4 repeated previous reports which wrongly claimed that Roman Abramovich gave the yacht Olympia to Vladimir Putin in 2002, and lost Le Grand Bleu, a different yacht he bought from Microsoft tycoon Paul Allen, in a poker game to his friend Eugene Shvidler in 2006.
We accept n that these allegations are not correct. Mr Abramovich has never owned Olympia and did not give it or any other yacht to Mr Putin; nor did he buy Le Grand Bleu from Mr Allen or lose it to Mr Shvidler.
We apologise to Mr Abramovich for the errors and have agreed to make a donation to a charity of his choice.
