The newly weds met when they were seated next to each other at a birthday party for Sacha Baron Cohen.

Underwood worked as a producer on Cohen’s Showtime satirical show Who Is America? on and is friends with his wife Isla Fisher.

Fisher, an actress, was a guest star on the most recent season of David’s HBO hit Curb Your Enthusiasm.

In an interview with the New York Times in April, David explained the two were set up by the celebrity couple.

‘We were seated next to each other, I think with that in mind,’ he said.

‘Much to her surprise I left before dessert. I was doing so well, banter-wise, I didn’t want to risk staying too long and blowing the good impression.’

New York native David started out as a stand-up comedian and comedy writer.

In 1989, he partnered with comedian Jerry Seinfeld to create a TV sitcom in which Seinfeld played a fictionalized version of himself.

Co-starring Julie Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards and Jason Alexander, Seinfeld became one of the most successful comedies in the history of television.

The show ran on NBC for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998.

In October 1999, HBO aired an hour-long special called Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm.

A year later, David’s series Curb Your Enthusiasm premiered on the premium subscription channel, and in a natural progression, the comedy starred David as himself, now hugely wealthy as a result of Seinfeld and seeking to live a semi-retired, fulfilling life.

This past June, HBO renewed the show for a 11th season.
