Worried Danielle Armstrong admitted she ‘felt sick’ after fiancé Tom Edney clipped baby Orla’s nails for the first time and accidentally cut her
Danielle took to social media on Monday to say she ‘couldn’t cope’ with what had happened after hearing her two-month-old baby cry following the accident.
The former TOWIE star, 32, described it as the ‘most traumatic experience’ and joked how the couple are ‘bad parents’ following the mishap.

A fresh-faced Danielle posted to her Instagram story to share the story and was seen lying on her bed in a floral dress with tiny Orla, who was fine after what happened.
Speaking from her Essex home, the TV personality said: ‘I literally just had the most traumatic experience.
‘I noticed Orla had a little scratch in the corner of her eye so I thought, “right I need to cut her nails – they are growing”

‘Now Tom always clips his nails so I thought he would be better at doing them than me. So I am holding her, she is in the bath, I am holding her hand.
‘Tom clips the thumbnail and he catches a bit of her skin. The scream honestly, I can’t even cope, and there was a tiny little bit of blood – I felt sick, I actually felt sick.’
The first-time mother added: ‘The scream honestly it was just awful – she is all chilled now but it was just awful.

‘I am never doing that again there must be a baby nail clipping place.’
However Tom, dubbed the ‘baby nail killer’ by Danielle, revealed how despite trimming his own, he has ‘never cut a baby’s nails before’.
Turning to his fiancée, he added: ‘I came up them stairs and you said to me, “I think you will be good at doing them”‘.

Speaking in a later post, Danielle felt better after revealing how ‘apparently loads of people have done it’ but Tom quipped: ‘Why are you trying to make me feel bad?’
‘They way you went on was like she needed ten stitches on it,’ he added.
Danielle, who said she has ‘never clipped nails’ before, explained how she would ‘file’ Orla’s nails in the future to prevent the risk of nipping her daughter’s delicate skin.
As Tom lay by her side on the bed, she added: ‘We are bad parents – I think I need a drink.
‘This is what happens with parenthood.’
Last week Danielle shared a picture of herself holding Orla captioned: ‘Oh I Love You Baby Girl … I feel like your thinking “mum no more pics.”’
Orla was born on May 26 at 4.30pm weighing 8lbs 11oz after a 72-hour labour at Broomsfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
In a YouTube video documenting her labour, Danielle explained how she gave birth 12 days after her due date, May 14, and spoke of how she was ‘ready to pop’ six weeks before she ‘actually did’.

She said: ‘I did everything. We had curry, spicy curry – we had two of those. We had pineapple – apparently if you eat the core of pineapple and a lot of it that can bring on labour.’
Danielle explained how after two sweeps she ended up having an induction and Tom was by her side throughout the birth.
The loved-up pair, who were childhood sweethearts, revealed they had rekindled their romance last September and announced they were expecting in November.
