Dave Hughes reveals what he misses most about filming The Masked Singer before lockdown

Dave Hughes reveals what he misses most about filming The Masked Singer before lockdown last year… and admits it’s ‘very Hollywood’

Dave Hughes has admitted that filming The Masked Singer’s second season has been a very different experience compared to last year.

The 49-year-old comedian told the Herald Sun on Tuesday that the thing he misses most about the 2019 series is all the downtime spent in hotel rooms.

This sort of behaviour is no longer permitted this year, however, and the judges must stay in their own accommodation due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Tame: Dave Hughes revealed the very ‘Hollywood’ thing he misses the most from filming the last season of The Masked Singer. He told the Herald Sun on Tuesday that there has been: ‘No hanging out in hotel rooms this year’

‘No hanging out in hotel rooms this year, no Hollywood lifestyle,’ he said.

‘Basically I’m getting book suggestions from Urzila Carlson which I’m following up on.’

Despite no longer enjoying hotel gatherings after filming, Dave said that he Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, Dannii Minogue and Urzila still have fun on set.

Dave added that he’s still keeping in touch with Lindsay Lohan, even though she couldn’t return for season two due to coronavirus border closures.

The Hit FM radio host said: ‘I’ve had a few texts with Lindsay, she has a bit of FOMO [fear of missing out]. She’d love to be involved, but it’s too hard.’

Last year, Dave revealed that he and fellow comedian Nazeem Hussain hung out with Lindsay and her ‘Hollywood type’ friends in her hotel room during filming last year.

The Masked Singer, which airs on Channel 10, is set to wrap filming this week.
