David Beckham thanks his nearest and dearest for birthday wishes and reveals his mum sent him his beloved pie and mash as a celebratory dinner
He celebrated his 47th birthday on Sunday.
And David Beckham thanked his family for helping him enjoy his day as he posed with a footballing doppelgänger made entirely out of balloons.
The former Manchester United and England legend took to Instagram on Tuesday to show his appreciation for his birthday wishes and also revealed that his mum had sent him his beloved pie and mash for dinner.

In his thank you post, David sipped on a drink from a bright pink flamingo straw as he posed in the snap, sporting a white T-shirt.
He held the hand of his balloon figure, who was wearing a pink and black Inter Miami strip – the club David successfully co-founded in 2018.
He penned: ‘Thanks for all the birthday messages over the weekend from me and my new mate. ‘Thank you to my beautiful family for making it so special @victoriabeckham @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham’.
The father-of-four then took to his Instagram Stories to share a snap of him enjoying another celebratory drink.

David shielded his eyes from the Floridian sun in a pair of sunglasses as he held a wine glass to his lips and posed in front of water in the snap. He captioned the picture, which he shared with his 66.1m followers: ‘Birthday buttery burgundy’.
It was then he revealed his special treat from his mum, who had sent him his favourite meal of pie and mask from Tony’s Pie And Mash in Waltham Abbey.
He shared an arty picture of the lunch and simply wrote over the top: ‘Special birthday lunch from Mum and Tony’s Pie And Mash’.

On his birthday, the star was inundated with tributes from his wife and children to mark his special day.

Ensuring daughter Harper – whose young age means she does not have access to social media – was also seen to acknowledge the date, Victoria posted an image of the pair with the accompanying caption: ‘Birthday kisses from Harper Seven!’
David’s children also paid tribute to the former footballer, with middle-son Romeo, 18, sharing a throwback of himself and his father letting their hair down on the beach.
