Kevin Bacon launched the #IStayHomeFor social media campaign to encourage everyone around the world to practice social distancing to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
And Thursday, Demi Lovato joined the growing number of high-profile people getting in on the initiative.
‘There’s a lot of things going on in our world right now, but there’s one thing that matters it’s spreading love,’ the pop star began in the caption of her photo posted on social media.

‘#IStayHomeFor my parents, my neighbors and my health,’ she revealed, as she held up her sign next to a bicycle decked out in a light blue denim jacket, white top and black pants.
In a second photo, Lovato showcased her pledge sign on top of a table next to a bouquet of flowers.
‘Thanks for sharing this with me #Kevin Bacon,’ she wrote before urging some of her celebrity friends to get in on the campaign.

The #IStayHomeFor initiative urges people to stay quarantined at home and hold up signs displaying the names of their loved one they’ll be protecting by avoiding gatherings and potentially infecting others or risk infection themselves.
Bacon launched the rallying call with his sign that read: #IStayHomeFor Kyra Sedgwick, his wife of over 31-years. He also tagged six celebrity friends and asked them to follow suit and spread the word.

‘So if you’re home too like me, post a video or photo with a sign like mine, telling who you are staying home for and ask 6 friends to do the same,’ who said in his video.
‘Post it with the hashtag #IStayHomeFor so I can see and share. Let’s spread the world! The more folks involved, the merrier – because we’re all connected by various degrees (Trust me, I know!), the actor added.
Lovato was among the list of six people Bacon called out that also included Jimmy Fallon, Elton John, Brandi Carlile, Kevin Hart and David Beckham.
The former superstar footballer was quick to jump into the mix and share his campaign sign on social media.

‘I’m staying at home for Victoria and our kids, including Cruzie who’s made his way into this photo,’ Beckham wrote in the caption of his photo and reference to son Cruz.

Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown also lended her star power by holding up her sign saying: ‘IStayHomeFor my family, my nan, the vulnerable and elderly.’
‘I’m staying at home for these people because they are my everything,’ she added in the caption.
‘My beautiful nan, she protected me my whole life. Now its time for me to protect her. Keep positive.’
