Devon Windsor is all smiles during walk with Johnny Barbara… after major social media backlash

She faced backlash on Tuesday after she shared an image where she was holding up a fish while in a bikini. Some fans consider fishing to be murder and would prefer she didn’t eat sea creatures at all.

But Devon Windsor seemed to brush off the online haters as she was seen smiling during a walk around her Miami neighborhood on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old wore a bra as a top as she was spotted with her new husband, Johnny Barbara, and their pooch, Winston.

Devon sported a tiny black bra and leggings from Koral that drew attention to her toned abs and trim physique.

The Victoria’s Secret model teamed the active look with complementary black sneakers and and accessorized with a scrunchie of the same color.

Her blonde hair was styled back into a high ponytail and she appeared to be wearing very little to no makeup.

Johnny was dressed similarly to his wife in a black shirt and shorts as they walked and talked during the family walk.

The pair married in St Barths last November with quite the A-list model guest-list.

They got engaged in the same place in 2018 after dating for two years.

Devon’s appearance comes after she faced major backlash on Tuesday when she shared a photo of herself catching a yellowtail fish.

‘When the supermarkets all have very little meat..when in doubt, catch it yourself! See my #chefdev highlight to see my all time favorite way to cook fish!’ she captioned.

The shot saw a very happy Devon smiling in a one of her brand’s $160 green polka dot sets.

The Missouri native was met with comments such as: ‘Its 2020. We’re not proud of fishing anymore’ and ‘Poor fish…. your face tho looks too happy for having a dead animal in ur hands.’

Another wrote: ‘Why kill fish? It s not essential. For joke? No. You wrong.’

However, there were some more positive fans who commented words including: ‘Great catch.’

Devon replied back to various comments while also later taking to her Instagram Stories to explain why she chose to post the shot.

One of her replies read: ‘I respect your opinion here, although there is no restrictions on fishing yellowtail unless it is less than 12” long.. which this one is longer!’

She continued: ‘I also respect your decision to not eat any fish, I on the other hand, do. I also think that fishing for my own fish is much better then buying from commercial fishing, don’t you think? As none will go to waste.’

Over on her Stories she also shared that she did once try to be a vegetarian, but her body didn’t react well without animal products.

‘I appreciate everyone’s opinion and if you are anti-fishing, anti-eating meat, anti-eating fish, vegan, vegetarian – whatever you are, I think that’s amazing, but I’m not and I never have been,’ she began.

‘And although it makes me sad, the thought of killing animals, I don’t like how my body responds when I don’t eat meat.’

She continued: ‘I’ve tried to be vegetarian, and all of my actual levels, when my doctor tested me, were very low. So, it works for me and I actually think that me fishing for my own fish is much better than supporting commercial fishing.’
