Back to TOWIE? Gemma Collins has cryptically teased her involvement in the TOWIE 10-year special, set to air at some point in the near future

‘I love TOWIE. I have a hell of a lot to thank TOWIE for. I owe the show a lot. So, if and when they come to me about a reunion, of course I’d be a part of it.

‘Look at all the people who have come out of it and gone on to do other big things. What an accolade to the show.’

It’s thought that several of the original cast members have been asked to appear on the 10-year anniversary, but Gemma, 39, has heard rumours that some are being difficult.

Without naming names, she said: ‘I think some of them want major fees to come back. Which is funny because they wouldn’t be where they are now without TOWIE. It’s like, chill the hell out!’

TOWIE turns 10 in the autumn, having aired its pilot episode on 10 October 2010.

Things are up in the air regarding when the show will return due to the COVID-19 lockdown, although restrictions are beginning to ease in the TV industry.

Gemma was able to continue her spin-off show, Diva Forever, filming a series while in lockdown.

‘I was lucky to still do the show while I was in lockdown,’ Gemma said. ‘And I really do want to send a big hug to everyone out there who is less fortunate.

‘But you know, the show’s got to go on. And it’s been about finding a new way of working. We couldn’t make a full series as usual. But we were able to still make the show going by the new government guidelines.’

Of her other endeavours, Gemma said: ‘I had a one-woman theatre tour planned but that’s been postponed ’til next year. And my shop is now fully online – and it has gone from strength-to-strength. So that’s amazing.

‘Obviously E-commerce is a big thing. And it’s always about finding a new way of working.’
