Drew Barrymore dresses up as the Glinda the Good Witch from the Wizard Of Oz

Drew Barrymore had fun dressing up for Halloween on Friday just as her fellow talk show hosts Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Clarkson and Kelly Ripa did.

The Charlie’s Angeles actress looked like a princess as she wore a pink gown and a tall silver crown while holding a magic star wand to be Glinda The Good Witch from the 1949 film The Wizard Of Oz.

During the episode, the 45-year-old presented a fellow single mother with a big gift: a $10,000 donation to her non-profit.

Drew fit the costume perfectly as she showed off her small waistline in the tulle dress with puffy sleeves. She flashed a beautiful smile as she clearly relished dressing up.

The former child star wore her red hair down over her shoulders as she looked regal in her crown.

Ashley Park also sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow for Drew, which made the actress tear up on stage. 

And Drew donated $10,000 to single mom Monique Ferguson who started the non-profit Glamour Diamonds Dance Academy to help underprivileged kids.

The set had an emerald green glow to look like the Emerald City.

The Wizard Of Oz was released in 1939 and Glenda was played by actress Billie Burke who passed away in 1970.

The film synopsis on imdb is: When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz.

‘They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow (Ray Bolger) that needs a brain, a Tin Man (Jack Haley) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) who wants courage. 

‘The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) to earn his help.’

Also doing the dress up thing were her fellow hosts. 

Kelly Clarkson chose a very flattering Halloween costume for her Friday show.

The 38-year-old pop singer looked sensational in a skintight and plunging gold dress with a blonde wig that flattered her natural beauty.

The mother of two – which is divorcing husband Brandon Blackstock – was dressed as Meryl Streep’s character Madeline Ashton from the 1992 film Death Becomes Her. On the show’s Instagram page it said, ‘The look is to DIE for!’

The beauty looked a bit like Marilyn Monroe with her long hair, long earrings, heavy makeup, feather boa, tight dress and heels.

The set was even decorated to look like the spooky movie.

The film was about a novelist who loses her beau to a movie star and former friend/

After leaving a psychiatric hospital she returns home to confront the now-married couple, looking radiant. 

Her ex-husband’s new wife wants to know her secret, and discovers that she has been taking a mysterious drug which grants eternal life to the person who drinks it. The actress drinks it too.

Turns out Clarkson is a mega fan of Meryl’s.

Ellen DeGeneres also dressed up for Halloween on her Friday daytime show.

The talk show host, 62, was seen getting festive for the holiday, which falls on Saturday, as she slipped into a nurse’s uniform which had a gold superman logo underneath and matching gloves.

The move was a nod to the nurses who are helping people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19. 

She said nurses are her favorite superhero.

Ellen kicked off the annual show by announcing throughout November, the talk show will be highlighting community leaders and first responders who have been essential during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

During ‘A Month of Giving Thanks,’ Ellen ‘will surprise real-life superheroes in and out of the studio and give back to them with incredible and life-changing gifts,’ it was stated in a press release. 

As usual on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she did one of her ‘scares.’ 

Ellen sent her executive producer Andy Lassner to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride: Live Drive-Up Experience.

He was spooked while in his car. 

Ellen then Zoomed with ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge Howie Mandel.

He was seen at a strip mall because strong winds ‘knocked out the electricity’ at his house.  

And Ellen’s resident dancer tWitch danced to Seventies music.

The day before she had on Khloe Kardashian.

The star said she has found co-parenting daughter True with Tristan Thompson ‘such a challenge’.

The 36-year-old reality TV star has admitted she’s found it to be ‘one of the hardest things’ she’s ‘ever done’ splitting parenting duties with the 29-year-old basketball player without being in a relationship with him.

However, the Good American businesswoman wouldn’t change it for the world because it all ‘pays off’ to see their two-year-old baby girl ‘happy’.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she confessed: ‘It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

‘Because you have your own personal feelings, but when you can put those aside and you just put your child first — it sounds great when you’re all in love and everything, [but] when you go through something, it’s such a challenge.

‘But to do it, I know how good I feel about myself. You put your kids first. It’s hard sometimes, but it pays off.

‘You put your kids first and it’s hard sometimes, but it pays off. They’re happy, beautiful children.’

Meanwhile, Khloe admitted she found it ‘heart-wrenching’ not being able to see True when she battled COVID-19 earlier this year.

The blonde beauty spent 16 days in isolation until she tested negative, and really struggled being away from her daughter.

She said: I don’t care about how beautiful of a place you have, being taken away from your child – because I couldn’t be around my daughter – was the most heart-wrenching thing.’

Khloe been vomiting and shaking with headaches and hot and cold flushes before getting her diagnosis.

She said on her family’s E! show: ‘Just found out that I do have corona. I have been in my room. It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days.

‘I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache. I wouldn’t say it was a migraine. The coughing, my chest would burn when I would cough.

‘Let me tell you, that s*** is real. But, we’re all gonna get through this. May God bless us all.’
