Elle Macpherson buys son Flynn, 22, a fancy graduation cake

Elle Macpherson has joined the millions of parents trying to find unique ways to celebrate their children’s graduation amid COVID-19. 

On Tuesday, the 56-year-old Australian supermodel showed off the incredible graduation cake she bought for her 22-year-old son Flynn Busson’s graduation from Boston University. 

Elle had the cake made for her son and his friend Madison Soffer, who was graduating from a different school. 

The cake featured the friends’ graduation year and their names, as well as what appeared to be their school colours and mascots, with an incredible graduation cap on top. 

Hidden at the back of the cake was little figures in caps and gowns, in the likeness of Flynn and Madison. 

‘I wanted to do something special for Madison and Flynn as they don’t really get a chance to celebrate their graduation like all the kids class 2020,’ Elle explained.

She added: ‘Here’s sending love to you all as you adapt to the changes we face with courage and faith.’  

Away from his academic studies, Flynn, whose father is French financier Arpad Busson, has a luxury lifestyle that many can only dream of.   

Flynn documents his expensive hobbies and five-star holidays on Instagram, where he has more than 23,000 followers.

From skiing in Switzerland to playing polo in Argentina and driving around the Coachella Valley, Flynn likes to have fun when he’s not studying. 

Not only does he travel on private aircraft, he also flies them. In 2016, Flynn revealed he had acquired a pilot license at the age of 19.

‘Licensed pilot, watch out skies,’ he wrote on Instagram. Four years later, he regularly shares photos of himself behind the controls in various aircraft.
