‘Normalizing a conversation around the beautiful reality of birth is a challenging idea in the world of western medicine where pain is bad and healthcare is business,’ Tom wrote of the experience.
‘It was a privilege to witness Elsa courageously birth our child and experience the serene, painful beauty of [shepherding] a child into this world. Prior to the birth we had watched elephants in the wild give birth. Surrounded by fellow females, they create a support network that facilitates the birth of the child and the wellbeing of the mother.’
Daly continued: ‘Elsa’s birth was no different in how she worked together with Abby, Carson, and Johanna. To a man with a limited understanding of what this will ever directly feel like, I watched them support, elevate, motivate, and care for one another to bring Tuulikki into this world.

In December, the couple moved out of her $3.5M 1,750-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment located in SoHo’s Cast Iron Historic District after 12 years of living in Manhattan.
Elsa fell in love at first sight with her live-in love sometime around Halloween 2015 – the same year he and Max Vallot co-founded marathon runner eyewear brand, District Vision.
