Emma Watkins like you have NEVER seen before: The Wiggles star looks completely unrecognisable in high fashion magazine shoot

Emma Watkins has become one of The Wiggles biggest stars since joining the group as a permanent member in 2012.

The 31-year-old is usually seen in the bright skivvy she wears while performing as the Yellow Wiggle.

However, the singer looks all but unrecognisable in a new high fashion shoot for The New York Times Style Magazine’s Australian edition, T Australia.

The magazine’s website shared a sneak peek at the issue, including the cover, with Emma working her model angles while posing on a balcony with a sweeping bush view in the background.

The performer shook off her cutesy look, opting for a smouldering makeup palette, including dark plum lipstick and smokey eye-shadow.

She also ditched her hair bows, ringlets and pig tails, instead wearing her auburn hair dead straight.

Instead of her usual yellow palate, she wore a fitted, silver sequin top with long sleeves that clung to her form.

A pair of chic, wide-leg pants added to the high fashion look, as did Emma’s angular pose.

Behind-the-scenes photos shared to Instagram showed Emma in two other outfits, including a stunning gown with a long train and a black suit, with the blazer worn without a shirt underneath.

On T Australia’s Instagram, the magazine explained: ‘It’s only fitting on International Women’s Day that we reveal our first ever T Australia cover star is one of Australia’s most talented and successful entertainers, Emma Watkins, aka Emma Wiggle.

‘Not only is she a PHD candidate and health advocate, who can sing, dance, play the drums and sign Auslan fluently, but she is also, arguably, the key to the global success of The Wiggles.’

They also revealed that the magazine with Emma on the front goes on sale on Monday, March 15.
