Erin Molan reveals what it’s like living with homicide detective fiancé Sean Ogilvy – including his ability to ‘manipulate’ conversations and the chilling way he knows when she’s lying
Erin Molan has lifted the lid into her very private relationship with fiancé-of-three years, homicide detective Sean Ogilvy.
Speaking to The Kyle And Jackie O Show on Thursday, the Channel Nine sports presenter, 37, confessed that Sean often uses his detective skills around the house – often to Erin’s detriment.
‘I used to pretend I’d clean the whole house,’ Erin explained, adding: ‘But I’d get [the cleaner] Jimmy – who comes in and does it for 50 bucks – and I’d say to Sean that I did it,’ she explained.

Erin explained that Sean would always work out she was lying by identifying clues around the house, such as the TV remote controls facing a certain way.
‘He’d say, ‘You don’t do that, Jimmy does!”, Erin laughed.
The mother-of-one even claimed that Sean can tell whenever she doesn’t use fabric softener in the washing.

Elsewhere in the interview, Erin explained how Sean, like many other detectives, has a brilliant knack for ‘manipulating’ conversations.
‘We’ll sit down and have a chat, and all of a sudden I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, you just totally twisted that! And what the hell?’ It is ridiculous,’ she said.
Erin also confessed that Sean used to boast about his police work at home to impress her when they first started dating.

However, this changed when Sean realised he didn’t need to try so hard anymore.
‘Three months in he’d come home and I’d be like, ‘Hey babe, what happened at work today?’ [He would reply], ‘It’s confidential I can’t talk about it’,’ Erin said.
‘And then we’d go to dinner with other people and I’d hear him [saying], “And then they found the body face down”. And I’d be like, “Oh so you’re happy to tell other people?”’ she laughed.
