Former Australian Idol judge Kyle Sandilands reunites with Osher Gunsberg and James Mathison for friendly catch-up

They appeared on Australian Idol together back in 2005.

And on Thursday, Kyle Sandilands reunited with former hosts Osher Gunsberg and James Mathison.

Osher, 47, shared a photo to Instagram of the trio enjoying a friendly catch-up.

In the picture, Kyle posed for the camera as James and Osher stood on either side of him and smiled. 

‘Putting the band back together, assembling the team one expert at a time like in an Ocean’s 11 movie,’ he captioned the post.

Osher continued: ‘This is Kyle – deadly with a mic and an expert in Vape technology.’

Kyle worked on the reality show’s judging panel from 2005 to 2008 alongside Marcia Hines and Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson.

Meanwhile, James and Osher co-hosted the popular singing show from 2003. 

In 2009, James announced he would be leaving the show to focus on other projects and Osher hosted the seventh season solo.

James and Osher, who have been friends for the past 18 years, recently launched a new podcast called Idle Australians.

The podcast sees the pair investigate unsung heroes from Australian history.

‘We talked to the guy who invented Wi-Fi, the man who invented chicken salt,’ James said of the series on Studio 10.
