Former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky reveals she suffered a miscarriage with her third child: ‘I feel sad for what could’ve been’

Ali Fedotowsky has shared her heartbreaking experience after she suffered a miscarriage with her third child. 

Writing a lengthy post to Instagram on Tuesday, the former Bachelorette star revealed she recently lost her unborn baby, before announcing she was expecting. 

The 35-year-old wrote ‘my experience is that it affected me so much harder than I could have imagined.’

She currently shares daughter Molly, four, and son Riley, two, with husband Kevin Manno. 

‘I am 1 in 4,’ she started the post alongside a picture of flowers. ‘I don’t really know what to say here. I’m sitting in my car, using talk to text & I’m just gonna speak from my heart.’ 

The TV host explained that she ‘had a miscarriage recently,’ though she didn’t provide any other timeline information as to how far along she was or when the miscarriage happened.  

She held back much of the sensitive information on her experience saying ”It’s such a long story of how it all happened. I’m not ready to fully talk about it and I honestly don’t know if I ever will be.’

Saying: ‘I was in complete shock when it happened. I sat and stared at it for hours – not able to fully comprehend what happened.’

Afterwards she said the ‘utter exhaustion that took over my body in the few days after that was almost debilitating.’

Fedotowsky explained that the pain she was feeling was for missing what should have been.

‘I feel sad for what could’ve been,’ the Massachusetts native said. ‘Sad for the baby that was growing inside me. Sad because it’s sad.’  

Adding: ‘What I found so shocking about my experience is that it affected me so much harder than I could have imagined. So know that if you’re going or have gone through this, your feelings are valid – whatever they may be.’ 

While speaking the text for her post, she told her followers she was at her OBGYN’s office for a follow up.

‘I’m not sharing this bc I feel sorry for myself or I want others to tell me they feel sorry for me,’ she wrote. ‘I don’t feel sorry for myself.’  

‘I’m writing this post to let others know who have experienced pregnancy loss know that I see you & feel you,’ she added extending her sympathies to others who have experienced similar situations. 

‘We all go through different emotions & process the loss differently,’ though she also said that her experience was different than those farther along, hinting at her being in the early stages of her pregnancy.
