Former Home and Away star is unrecognisable as he debuts his hipster transformation

Former Home and Away star Scott Lee is virtually unrecognisable as he debuts his hipster transformation in Bondi two years after quitting the soap

He played clean-cut Hunter King on the popular Aussie soap, Home and Away, from 2014 to 2018.

And passersby would have been forgiven for not recognising Scott Lee, as he stepped out for a barefoot stroll in Bondi on Tuesday looking completely different than he did in his soap days.

The 27-year-old actor debuted his hipster transformation after swapping his clean-shaven look for a scruffy beard.

Scott’s previously styled coif was covered with a black beanie, and he kept the rest of his ensemble casual with a black top and beige shorts.

Proving to be comfortable with his surroundings, the former TV star went barefoot despite the winter weather.

During his low-key outing, Scott appeared to be in a great mood as he laughed and chatted away to his pals.

Scott got his first big acting break playing troubled yet lovable teen Hunter on Home and Away, appearing on the show for four years.

His final storyline saw him ending a fling with his lecturer, Christina [Jessica Clarke], quitting university and leaving town.

Speaking of his character’s final moves at the time, Scott said: ‘Nothing’s going right in his life, so making this move could really help.’

Just like his character, Scott decided to leave town and try his luck in Hollywood after Home and Away came to an end.

He previously told TV WEEK: ‘I’m excited to go overseas and reinvent myself. No-one knows what type of actor I am, so I can start [over] and hopefully get a run with new characters.’

Since he departed from the soap, he has starred in the Australia comedy show, Diary of an Uber Driver, as well as the sci-fi drama Bloom.
